Cooking instructions
Option 1:
Soak overnight (approx. 12hours)
1. Rinse Botselo Red Speckled Beans with cold water and soak overnight.
2. After soaking overnight, drain and rinse the Botselo Red Speckled Beans.
3. Add the Red Speckled Beans to a pot and fully immerse/cover with boiling water.
4. Place pot on high heat and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat, cover pot but keep lid tilted and simmer for 45-60 minutes or until soft.
Option 2:
Quick Cook and Soak (1 hour)
1. Rinse Botselo Red Speckled Beans with cold water.
2. Add Botselo Red Speckled Beans to a pot and fully immerse/cover with cold water.
3. Place pot on high heat, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and let the Red Speckled Beans stand and soak for 1 hour.
5. Drain and rinse the Botselo Red Speckled Beans.
6. Add the Red Speckled Beans back to a pot and fully immerse/cover with boiling water.
7. Place pot on high heat and bring to a boil.
8. Reduce the heat, cover pot but keep lid tilted and simmer for 45-60 minutes or until soft.
